Due to the new release of Papyrus 9 German (English version will come in a
few days) and due to the fulfilment of that lots of orders of Papyrus version 9
in this weeks we can't deliver English orders as fast as normally, we beg for
pardon.
Of course all of the orders of the last weeks will be taken as orders
of version 9, without any additional costs.
If you are in a hurry, please
tell us so that we will send you version 8, first, and you will get V.9 within
the next weeks for free.
Papyrus version 9 English will be ready for all
operating systems we support in October, we plan, so latest November.
We had some break in selling (even looking for version 9) because of a VERY
silly decision of our major court of Germany, who decided to kill every credit
card operation for distance transactions. The German major court in Karlsruhe
decided this summer that for every transaction the credit card company (so the
companies VISA, Mastercard, ...) are in duty to give warranties for the payment
in any case, even if the credit card is out.
Of course the reaction of all
companies was to stop every contract with every distance transaction companies
in Germany - like us.
And I do not want to blame the credit card companies.
Of course it is logical to react to that silly major court decision, because if
they would have to take the whole risk of any transaction between the dealer and
the customer, without knowing anything about their deals, it is clear that they
have to deny that.
Germany, third world land in international financial
transactions ... *sigh*
So please understand that till the middle of October
we can't take any foreign orders, paid by credit card.
Then we hopefully will
have found a new way to accept credit cards, because German banks will have new
contracts which are fair for every party, again.
Sorry for that
inconvenience, as you can imagine, we are VERY unlucky about that situation on
our own - our business which English speaking customers has stopped, nearly, at
the moment, because there is no working way to take the license fee
(international bank account money transfer is MUCH to expensive, of course - it
would cost nearly about the amount you have to pay for a license).
We are working hard on a solution; bureaucratic forces will be stopped somehow ;-).
If there are ways to trade again, version 9 will be there, proper translated,
as well.
Again, we beg your pardon, but it is not our fault, but the fault of
a "nobody-knows-why" super-stupid decision of some judges without any feeling
for the horrible social and market results of their decision.

The current version number is 8.23, both for Papyrus WORD word processor (spreadsheet integrated) and Papyrus OFFICE (an integration of Papyrus WORD with our new database Papyrus BASE), in all the supported operating systems (namely OS/2, TOS, WIN 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP).
You will get everything you need via internet email. Files are compact enough
to fit on just three floppy discs.
The Papyrus installation could be done wherever you stored your the e-mailed
distribution files - your hard drive, or even, if you burn the distribution
files onto a CD, from your CD drive.
What you get is a full program package with complete online help and a tutorial, together with a license key and your personal installation key code.
Since the total package will fit on three floppy disks, you need a e-mail account no larger than about 5 MB.
We'd like to confirm that. The whole of Papyrus OFFICE (DTP, word processor, spreadsheet, database along with a user-friendly, system conform user interface) - occupies only three floppy discs. This is no joke, and this does NOT mean that Papyrus is only a silly tool. You have to try it to be able to believe it!
This is the best code-for-value program you have ever seen! This compactness gives Papyrus incredible speed and stability.
With the initial purchase, you are entitled to free updates and fixes within the same program level (version 8, at the moment) and/or a three month free-of-charge right for bigger upgrades. So the upcoming version 9 in about July, is free for you, and so are all mini-updates within this version 9, as well.
Like the initial purchase, the updates will also be distributed via internet email.
